Accent Equity is acquiring 51% of the shares in the rapidly growing company which develops, manufactures and sells coffee machines. The present owner and CEO, Georg Möller, and the management team of the company will own the remaining shares. Coffee Queen’s headquarters and main production facilities are situated in Arvika where approximately 60 people are employed. Wholly owned subsidiaries are found in China, Germany and Norway. The company reported a turnover of about SEK 170 million in the most recent financial year.Coffee Queen has established itself as a leading supplier of professional coffee machines for offices, restaurants and the service trade. Since the early 80s, the company has grown from 5 employees to over 100 today. The turnover has during the same period more than ten folded. Coffee Queen expects a turnover of more than SEK 225 million for 2007. The ambition is to double that in another three years and to take a market leading position in the European coffee machine market. – Coffee Queen has established itself as the leading player in the Nordic region through innovative product development in close co-operation with its customers as well as outspoken commitment to deliver the best quality in combination with competitive prices, says Jan Ohlsson, CEO of Accent Equity Partners. This has lead to strong growth, especially in Sweden and the other Nordic markets. We will contribute with our experience in business development with the objective to accelerate the growth in our existing markets as well as in other parts of Europe and in Asia in close co-operation with the founder Georg Möller and the company’s employees. This also includes an active acquisition strategy, which already has been exemplified through our acquisition in Germany and not least through the establishment in China. Coffee queen offers own designed professional coffee machines, espresso machines, juice machines and also consumer products through the cooperation with the Swiss company Jura. Coffee Queen is the largest actor in the HoReCa sector in Sweden and has a strong position in the other Nordic markets. The products are manufactured in the company’s production facilities in Arvika and Shanghai. During 2007 the first European acquisition was made, when the German company Pressomat GmbH was acquired from the founders. – We have come far in our Nordic ambitions and are presently investigating a potential further European expansion, this since we are certain that our products are very competitive also in other markets.
